Expo XIII

New York State Two Cylinder Expo

We had 19 Model 630's at the show.  Representing them were row crops, standards, and an LP.
We'd like to thank everyone who took the time out of there busy schedules to come and spend a few days at our show.  Whether you were an exhibitor, a vendor, or spectator, know that we really appreciate all you do to help make our show successful.  For the third show in a row we have had to deal with torrential downpours and seas of mud.  We hope this is not going to be the norm for future shows.  But whatever the weather, you can be sure that we'll be back in two years.  What is it the American postman's unofficial motto says - "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."  We can adapt that to read "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these John Deere fanatics from pursuing their passion.
During our three-day show, we were unlucky enough to find ourselves  stuck beneath a storm system that dumped 4-1/2 inches of rain.  And that created a lot of mud.  But the show must go on despite the weather, and on we did go.
The auction on Thursday afternoon proved to be a little soggy.  But those who live here or who have been to past Expos know enough to be prepared for whatever mother nature dumps on us.  Rain coats and boots seem to be the attire of choice.
The track seemed to be a daunting task at first, but with the help of a couple of John Deeres, it was ready to go for the pulls on Friday and Saturday nights.
For some, a little rain (or in this case, A LOT of rain) and a big mud puddle are things to be relished.  It doesn't get any better!
